About East African University Rwanda (EAUR)

East African University Rwanda (EAUR) is a private university accredited by the Government of Rwanda. Since opening its doors to students in 2015 in Nyagatare District, it has expanded to Kigali City, Gasabo District, Remera Sector (Kisment). EAUR offers unique programs accredited by the Higher Education Council (HEC) and Rwanda TVT Board (RTB), including Bachelor’s Degrees, Diplomas, and short courses. These span disciplines such as Film Making and Production, Leisure, Tourism and Hotel Management, Mass Communication and Journalism, Business Studies (with specializations in Economics, Accounting, Marketing, HR Management, and more), and Education (History-Geography, Mathematics-Computer, Mathematics-Physics).

In addition, EAUR offers professional certifications like Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and ICDL (International Computer Driving License). The university supports flexible study options—day, evening, and weekend sessions—catering to diverse student needs.

As part of the BDK University Network, which includes Kampala University (Uganda) and The East African University (Kenya), EAUR fosters international academic exposure through mobility programs for students and staff.

Introduction

In today’s competitive landscape, the ability to craft compelling grant proposals, secure funding, and analyze data effectively is critical for NGOs, businesses, and other organizations. This professional training, hosted by East African University Rwanda, is designed to equip participants with practical skills in grant writing, funding access strategies, and data analysis using industry-standard tools such as SPSS, STATA, and EViews.

Ideal for consultants, NGO leaders, project managers, data analysts, and professionals seeking to expand their skills, this training offers an intensive yet hands-on approach to enhancing organizational impact and funding success.

Course Content

The course will comprehensively cover the following areas:

  • Grants Proposal Writing: Learn how to write successful, donor-friendly proposals.
  • Funding Access Links for NGOs and Companies: Discover key resources and strategies for unlocking funding opportunities.
  • Data Analysis Using SPSS, STATA, and EViews: Engage in practical data analysis for research and project development.

Participants may choose specific areas of interest for certification. Each selected area will be reflected on the completion certificate.

Training Methods

The training will use an interactive, workshop-style approach to encourage active participation and practical learning:

  • Interactive Discussions: Open dialogues to foster engagement and idea exchange.
  • Practical Exercises: Hands-on work with real-life data sets and case studies on successful proposals.

Certification

Participants who successfully complete the course and achieve a pass mark of 60% will be awarded a Certificate of Completion from East African University Rwanda, with each area of training clearly listed. Those who do not meet the pass mark may retake the course once, free of charge.
